Chiswick Cheese Market

London’s only dedicated cheese market, also called ‘Cheesewick’, was inspired by Jamie Oliver’s ‘Save British Cheese’ campaign during lockdown with the market starting in 2020.

The name Cheesewick or Ceswican is Old English for ‘Cheese Farm’ and was the former name of Chiswick.

Founded and run by The Cookbook Kitchen, a group of women who are passionate about Chiswick and about cheese and includes chefs, restauranteurs, cooks, caterers and cookbook authors.

The monthly market focuses wholly on cheesemakers, cheesemongers and artisan producers of cheese related items such as bread, crackers, chutney and cheese based street food.

Market HQ each month features a themed free tasting and sampling, often hosted by cheesemakers.

Steve Parker Cheese and Wine runs a cheese bookstall each month featuring his own books plus a large selection of second-hand cheese books and a range of cheesy merchandise (cheese earrings anyone?)

The market has a wide variety of stalls, many of whom are present every month plus guest appearances. Regular cheese stalls are listed on the Cheesewick website.

Held on the third Sunday of each month from 09:30 – 15:00. Future market dates are…

15th June
20th July
17th August
21st September
