My next book ‘British Cheese and Wine Pairing’ will contain some recipes containing these two superb ingredients. Each recipe has been created for this book but are sometimes based on classics. In this case, the traditional and somewhat old-fashioned bread pudding has been re-imagined and instead of being sweet with dried fruit and sugar, this version contains cheese, wine, onion, apple and pear. Not that you would ever have a hangover, but if by sheer bad luck you did, this would be the perfect comfort food….mmmmmm.
