On the third Sunday of every months, there is a truly amazing market held in Chiswick, dedicated to cheese. Organised and run by The Cookbook Kitchen, a group of women dedicated to great food including chefs, writers, restauranteurs, designers, they donate all of the proceeds to local charities and have raised over £20,000 so far. Last Sunday 15th October saw a first with The Big Cheese Weekender broadcasting live from the market.
Each month the market attracts cheesemakers, cheesemongers, charcuterie, artisan bakers, chutneys, crackers and pretty much everything cheese related you can think of. A few of the regular cheesemongers are No2 Pound Street, Deli at No5, The French Comté and cheesemakers regularly attending include Cheese on the Wey, Hamm Tun Fine Foods, Nut Knowle Farm.
Make a note in your diary to get along and sample some truly outstanding food and drink at London’s largest dedicated cheese market. The next market is Sunday 19th November. Click here to find out more.
