- Notes : Robin Betts is the third generation of his family at Platt House Farm, but the first to make cheese. The first batch of cheese was made in 2006, which went on to win a Bronze award at the World Cheese Awards in the same year. The name Winterdale Shaw refers to the local area as shown on old maps. The use of ground source heat pumps and solar panels and wind turbine, electric delivery vehicles plus a natural maturing cave makes it one of the very few carbon neutral cheeses in Britain.
